We have created authentic travel experiences for a wide range of clients. Our private journeys are designed to fit your group's taste, interests and budget, whether you’re a couple looking for a special way to celebrate an anniversary, or a car club seeking a complex cross-border expedition.

Where many tour operators rely on local agencies to put itineraries together, On the Road Experiences researches each journey in person. This means driving every road; visiting each hotel, restaurant and picnic spot; and trialling each activity that will be included on your trip.

We're often asked "What's your minimum group size?" While we limit our scheduled journeys to a minimum of three cars, there is no lower limit to the size of a private group – though we must add that the smaller the group, the higher the per-person price.

Another common comment is: "I would love to join one of your journeys, but our schedule never matches up with yours!" If this is the case for you too, a private journey may be ideal – depart when the time is right for you.

About Our Journey Prices

Scheduled vs. Private Journeys

Every year, we schedule a number of public journeys. For these we have a published price list. The group size is between 3–5 cars and 6–12 travellers. Journeys may be cancelled if the minimum group size is not reached. Each group will be composed of people who don't know each other, but they are certainly like-minded and in many cases become good friends on their trip.

Increasingly, guests approach us to arrange a private group of friends or family. Private journeys can be designed to fit each group's specific requirements, interests and budget. There is no minimum group size, though the smaller the group, the higher the per-person price.
